Acxiom is yet another database marketing firm that wants to send you junk mail (or at least their partners want to send you junk mail).  Their angle on things is that they collect information from public records and sell it to junk mailers.  Have a baby recently?  Add onto your house?  Buy a house?  Acxiom probably knows and is looking forward to forwarding your information onto alarm and siding companies so they can send you junk mail.  While it is not possible to keep these public records private, you can ask Axciom not to sell your personal information to junk mailers.  Send them an email at or call their consumer advocate hotline at 877-774-2094.
