Mr. Thrifty Principle #1: Make sure you have a list of EXACTLY what you want moved

The first step in your moving process is to make a list of what you need moved. Movers will use this list to give you a quote for their services. It is important that you list EVERYTHING out. One pitfall that many fall into is that they forget to list several pieces of furniture or other items. Based on the list given, the moving company provides a quote.  Then, on moving day, they find either that the movers will not touch the additional items or they face significant additional charges.
This happened to Mr. Thrifty when he forgot to include a table and dresser on his moving list. The result was 5 frantic moving day phone calls and an additional $300.  If this happens the movers are not being jerks but rather it is your fault!
